Repair Terms, Warranty & Disclaimers
At i Smart Device Repair, we don't just repair it — we restore it. Here is exactly how we work, what we stand behind, and what to expect. Clear and upfront, the way every repair should be.

Our Warranty
We back our work. Every repair we perform is covered by a 90-day warranty on the parts we install. If a part we installed proves defective within that window, we will replace it at no additional charge for the part.
The warranty covers the specific part we installed — it does not cover new accidental damage, drops, liquid exposure, software issues, or unrelated faults that appear after the repair. Tampering with the repair, or service by another shop afterward, voids the warranty on that part. Keep your receipt — it is your proof of coverage.
Back Up Your Data
Please back up your device before any repair. While we handle every device with care, repairs — especially screen, board-level, and liquid-damage work — can sometimes result in data loss, and some repairs require us to reset or restore the device to test it. i Smart Device Repair is not responsible for any loss of data, photos, contacts, apps, or settings.
Data recovery is uncertain by nature. When you ask us to attempt to recover data from a failed, liquid-damaged, or non-responsive device, we will give your information the best possible chance — but recovery can never be guaranteed. Your information is your responsibility to protect; backing up first takes minutes and gives you total peace of mind. We are happy to point you to the easiest way to back up your specific device if you ask.
Before Your Repair — Please Note
Locked or disabled devices: To verify a repair before and after we work, we usually need the device to power on and, in many cases, your passcode or screen unlock. We cannot fully test a device that is passcode-locked, disabled, or still has an active Activation Lock, Find My, or Google account lock. Please remove activation locks before service or be available to unlock the device. We do not bypass passcodes, carrier locks, or activation locks.
Face ID, Touch ID & True Tone: Some features are tied to a device manufacturer’s original components. On certain phones, replacing a screen, camera, or other part can disable Face ID, Touch ID, or True Tone, or trigger a non-genuine-part notification — this is a manufacturer restriction, not a fault in our workmanship. If a repair you have requested carries this risk, we will tell you in advance so you can decide how to proceed.
Prior repairs & pre-existing damage: Devices with earlier repairs, water exposure, or heavy wear carry added risk — previous work, third-party parts, or hidden corrosion can affect the outcome. We take every precaution, but on a device that has already been opened or damaged we cannot guarantee an outcome the same way we can on an undamaged one.
Parts availability: We stock and source quality parts for the devices we service. Some models or colors may need to be ordered, which can add a short lead time. We will tell you upfront if a part is not immediately available and confirm timing before you commit.
Customer-supplied parts: If you provide your own replacement part, our warranty covers our labor only — not the part itself or any defect in it. We will let you know before installing whether a customer-supplied part affects what we can guarantee.
Liquid & Water Damage
Liquid damage is different from a standard repair, so we are honest about it upfront. Water-damage service is diagnostic by nature — we cannot guarantee a full or permanent recovery. When a device meets liquid, corrosion can spread across the board over hours, days, or weeks, and damage may not be fully visible at first.
We perform professional board-level cleaning and diagnostics to give your device the best possible chance, and many come back to life — but a device may work partially, work for a time and then fail, or be beyond recovery. We will always tell you what we find and what is realistic before going further. A diagnostic and cleaning fee may apply to liquid-damage work even if full recovery is not possible, because the cleaning and diagnostic labor is performed regardless of outcome. Liquid-damage repairs are not covered by the standard warranty above.
Pricing & Quotes
Any price we give before we see the device — by phone, text, or our website form — is an estimate, not a final quote. The final price is confirmed after an in-person diagnosis, because devices often hide additional damage that is not obvious from a photo or description. You will always approve the final price before we begin any work — no surprises, no pressure. If we discover something that changes the cost, we stop and check with you first.
We use premium aftermarket and OEM-grade components chosen for reliability; where a genuine-manufacturer part is requested or required, we will discuss options and pricing with you. Payment is due on completion of the repair. If we cannot fix it, you do not pay for the repair — our No-Fix-No-Fee promise (diagnostic and liquid-damage cleaning fees excepted).
Back Glass, Game Consoles & Specialty Repairs
A few repairs — such as rear glass replacement that needs specialized laser equipment, and certain game-console jobs — are completed through a trusted local partner we work with directly. You hand the device to us, we coordinate the specialty work, and we return it to you finished — same single point of contact, same standard of care. These jobs are quoted accordingly once we know exactly what is needed.
General Disclaimer
Electronic repair carries inherent risk, particularly on devices that already have damage, prior repairs, or heavy wear. We take every reasonable precaution and treat your device as if it were our own. By authorizing a repair, you acknowledge these realities. To the extent permitted by law, i Smart Device Repair’s liability for any repair is limited to the amount you paid for that repair.
We are an independent repair service and are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Apple, Samsung, Google, or any other manufacturer. All brand names are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the devices we service.
